this is the video of me practicing the g major scale and the close to you song. this is the second week of me practicing the close to you song. i quiet satisfied with my skill on this song, because i can play it quiet well. i played the whole song i this practicing video.

this is the video of my playing the g major scale and the close to you song. this is the first week of me practicing this song. i think this song is quiet easy to play because most of the chord is the same. i only play the first 15 bars, because i havent practice the rest of this song.

Reflection Question : How was my jingle ?
Reflection :
One of my assessment in this semester is to create a jingle. i didn't make this jingle alone, i made this jingle with michele, my partner. i think we did a good job in making this jingle, we can cooperate well. i made the video and michele made the jingle. the jingle is about Beautiful Indonesia. i hope we can get a good score in this assessment. and in our instrument class, we play close to you again for the group ensemble. we still had a little bit problem with the saxophone and the flute. we have to practice more together to get a good score and to cooperate well.

Reflection Question : How was my jazz ensamble group progress ?
Reflection :
I think my group progress is quiet good, because me and my violin partner in my jazz ensemble group already in sync. and for the other member of my ensemble group they did quiet alright. but we still confused for the saxophone and flute, should they play chord or melody, we still thinking on that. We have to take more time to make our group cooperate well.

Reflection :

Today we did our dinging assessment. me and my group Michele, Dzaka, Nico sung close to you. Close to you is still part of a jazz song. The song is very good because the song is quite easy. I think, me and my group did  a quite great job. I really hope that we will have a good score in this singing assessment.

Reflection Question : how does business and industry affect music makers and users ?
Reflection :

Business and industry affect music makers and users because in music industry the music makers should follow the development of the music. They, the music industry dont care about the song and they only thing about the catchy melody and the profit from that song. If the melody is catchy people will easily remember it. The business didn't take the quality of the song but they just care about the catchy lyrics. We didn't have out instrument class because we did our singing assessment rehearsal

Answer :
This week me and my friend had our minor scale assessment. for me the assessment was really hard because we should read the note of the song that mr. Herry gave us. Music is the one who can relive stress and make us feel relax. The function of music in society is to make us fell more relax.

Reflection :
Music is like a food to me, everyday I always listen to the music. when I had some trouble I just laying down and listen to the music. Music made my life colorful. if in a day I didn't listen to music I feel like there is something wrong on that day. Music also can make me feel relax. And also this week I learnt about music notation. In my instrument class I learnt a song called Autumn Leaves. My instrument teacher wrote the number of the note in my note book, so I can easily play the song. I really love to play autumn leaves because if I hear that song I feel like i'm relax.

            Now, I understand about blues more after I do my performance. I know how to play 12 bar blues after I do my performance. But I think I fail in my assessment because I didn’t do it very well.

Reflection :

            Now I understand more about blues on the improvisation part. I think 12 bar blues isn’t that easy for me. 12 bar blues is a little bit hard because we have to know the scale to make the right melody. And I always try to understand more about the blues improvisation.

            Blues in jazz draw from a well spring of similar roots in African American. Blues for me is really fun because it isn’t that hard to play with violin.

Reflection :

            I haven’t practice my 12 bar blues at home because I have to practice it first with Mr. Sadrakh as my violin teacher. For me practicing 12 bar blues is pretty hard because I should practice my own song, so I have to ask some help to Mr. Sadrakh.

Reflection :

            There are many challenges that I had when I’m making my 12 bar blues. My finale is already expired so I have to borrow my friend laptop to make the finale. I’m not that good at making a song but I try my best to make a good song in this 12 bar blues.

            Now, I know more about jazz song. I choose “What a Wonderful World” as my song for singing assessment with my partner Michele. And it goes pretty well because I’m not that good in singing. And  now I can feel confident while I singing in front of my friends. And about the essay assessment, it help me more to understand and know more about jazz.
